The demolition and redevelopment of Pier One at Gatwick Airport is one of the largest redevelopments in the Airport's history, and promises to bring significant increases in passenger comfort and facilities. Gill Civil Engineering Limited are very pleased to be the paving contractor of choice for this prestigious development. The contract shall see us renew completely the aprons and taxiways to the south of the airport as well as the Airfield Ground Lighting infrastructure. Works shall be undertaken to minimise operational disruption to the airport, including the implementation of overnight working patterns.

Using our extensive experience in the airfield sector, Gill Civil Engineering Limited has just completed a major programme of overnight concrete carriageway repairs on one of the busiest sections of East to West motorway in the country. Completed against a challenging programme, works included replacing entire concrete bays and stitching of others. Poured overnight, the concrete had to achieve sufficient strength to permit heavy morning rush hour traffic within hours.
