Scope of Works: Concrete Paving in Rail Environment

Gill Civil Engineering were employed to pave 76,000 square metres of concrete pavements upon which the large scale recycling of all elements of rail infrastructure were to be conducted.

The work was carried out on a labour and plant basis. In line with ISO14001:2004 and waste management best practice, all aggregate was sourced from recycled track ballast on-site.

Slab thickness varied from 165 to 350mm and equipment areas of 300mm thickness over an un-bound base.
